Literature Text

A year has gone by since the take over and her goal to regain her country still stood.

"Why am I coming to this thing again?" She whispered to Prussia so Germany- who was walking in front of them with Italy and Romano- wouldn't hear. She felt embarrassed showing her face to the countries- feeling like she didn't deserve to be there.
"You represent Germany now so you have be here just like when you were [Country Name]," Prussia replied. "Though we don't have a say in things we still need to listen." He chuckled, "Though I doodle most of the time."
Upon arrival- the three German representatives and the Italians were some of the first to arrive. England was there because he was the host country, but Russia, China and the Nordics had already arrived. [Name] felt her face burn from embarrassed when she felt curious and sympathetic eyes on her as she walked to her spot. They all knew about her fall from grace- the dissolution of her country. She wondered how long they talked about her amongst themselves. If she could crawl in a hole she would, but she was here now so she had to suck it up.
About thirty minutes later, once all the countries who were supposed to come were present, England started the meeting. She paid attention to the meeting only out of habit, though instead of paying attention to Germany when it was his turn she tuned him out. His voice hurt her still- all she could do was remember the days when she considered him a friend. Though he was not good with emotions he was still a good friend and was there when she needed him. Now she felt like a fool.
"We will now take a two hour break," England announced. "Please be back in time."
She stood up, stretching her arms above her head, before glancing at Prussia and Germany. It seems that the brothers were going out to lunch but she really didn't want to join them. Prussia she could deal with, but not Germany. She could only deal with the blond German in small doses.
"South~" A voice called to her. The name hurt less because she got use to it, but she still didn't like it. She tilted her head to the side to see Prussia smiling at her. "Come on lets get lunch!" Before she could reject the invitation he took her by the hand and dragged her along. They went to a café that wasn't far from where the meeting was being held.
"I'll be right back!" Prussia said, before going across the café to talk to France and Spain.
She glanced at Germany who was focused on his food and his notes from the meeting. She remembered when they used to compare notes after a meeting, but those days were long gone. She was beginning to wonder if she should give up on her goal, but the dull twinges in pain that she got in her chest a few times a day reminded her that she couldn't- her people needed her.
"South," She looked at the German again, confused about why he was talking to her. "I have been instructed to discuss with you the ways to integrate our cultures in hopes to settle the various disputes near where the border used to be."
She stared at him blankly for a moment, wondering if he was serious though she knew he would never joke around. With a sigh she looked him in the eyes, knowing there was no way out of this conversation. "Honestly I don't know. Our cultures are just so different that it will be hard to find common ground especially near the," she mentally cringed, "Old border."
"But it is possible," He said, "We just need to find common ground."
"Germany," She began, trying to hold her frustration in. "I don't think you understand. My people are people are being treated horribly down there. And the few that have moved northward towards Berlin are up against even more discrimination."
"That is why we need to give the people something to latch onto so they will come together as one," He replied. "I can assure you I understand fully-"
"No you don't," She snapped, "You don't understand because you don't feel it in your chest how much they hurt."
For the first time he showed confusion. "You still feel them?"
"Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?" She questioned.
"You shouldn't feel anything. I'm the only one who should be able to feel the way the people feel, not you. I know you said you felt them after the signing of the contract but after this long you should feel nothing," He replied. "I should be feeling what our people feel especially this hurt you feel."
"Well, that's not the case obviously," She said, leaning back and crossing her arms.
He stared at her wordlessly for a moment before getting up and leaving- passing his brother on the way.
"[Name], what happened?" Prussia asked, sitting down on the seat Germany had occupied a few seconds ago.
"I don't know," She replied, confused. "We were actually having somewhat of a decent conversation when he got up and walked away. I guess he's confused on why he doesn't feel the addition of my people."
Prussia's eyes widened. "He doesn't feel your people? You still feel the hurt they feel?"
"Yes," She drawled out. "Am I not supposed to?"
"I lost that feeling a week after I was dissolved into Germany," Prussia replied. "So no, you aren't supposed to feel them. That means that somewhere a part of your country wasn't entirely given to Germany."
She bit back a smirk and masked it with confusion. A loop hole- just what she needed. If she could find it she could work on becoming a country again.
When I find out what didn't get dissolved into Germany he better watch out. She thought.
"[Name]," Prussia began, bringing her out of thought. His face was flushed with what can only be described as nervousness. "Germany never wanted this to happen. He considered you a great friend and it was never his intention to hurt you. If you're going to blame someone blame the boss, but don't blame brother. I hate seeing you two so cold to each other and he really misses you."
She felt touched by what Prussia had said knowing that he was going out of his way to bring some sort of peace between her and Germany; but the damage was done. Though she didn't give it much thought at the time she could remember Germany telling her on that fateful day last year: "I'm sorry that this happened South. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me."
"Thank you for your concern Prussia," She said earnestly. "However, there is too much pain between us and I doubt he misses me that much." She stood up, grabbing her to-go cup that was filled with coffee. "I'll meet up with you later."
"Do you miss him [Name]?"
She paused only glancing back at him for a second. "I used to, but he's just someone that I used to know now."
That last line...could I be anymore cheesy? Anywho, I was thinking of giving this a title, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions?

How about Betrayed or Traitor because she feels that she has been betrayed by Germany and her Boss.
